Our Karate & Jiu-Jitsu Training Classes
Little Dragons Karate Program
Gilbert & Chandler Martial Arts Lessons for Kids 3 to 5 Years Old
You can never really begin too early when it comes to learning karate. While kids ages 3 to 5 will obviously be unable to go beyond the most basic movements, karate lessons can serve as a valuable foundation for when they become older and better equipped to master the art of karate. Working with children at this age is crucial to their development and can have lifelong benefits. At Sandoval Karate, each Little Dragons class will be appropriate to the age group of the children.
Children’s Beginners Karate Program
Gilbert & Chandler Martial Arts Lessons for Kids 6 to 11 Years Old
While our Little Dragons learn basic and safe moves to give them a head start, Children’s Beginners are able to partake in more advanced classes because they have an improved level of physical ability. Depending on your child’s level of experience and belt, he or she will learn all of the techniques and can compete against kids from other schools if you are comfortable with it. The benefits of taking a Children’s Beginners class from a relatively early age are multiple, please select from the following to learn more.
Teens & Adults Karate Program
Gilbert & Chandler Martial Arts Lessons for Teenagers & Adults 12 Years & Up
You are certainly never too old to learn karate, and it even has a range of benefits if you are 40 or more years of age! As you may know, karate is a study in self-defense, but it also helps students with self-awareness and enables them to remain in control of their environment. Teenagers are at an age where they are seeking an independent identity as a martial artist, and karate enables them to try out adult responsibilities without being burdened with too much too soon.
Teens & Adults Jiu-Jitsu Program
Gilbert Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Lessons for Teenagers & Adults 12 Years & Up
Sandoval Freestyle Karate is proud to be an official Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school and one of just a handful of Gracie academies located in the Valley. Classes are taught by Mr. Sandoval, a BJJ purplebelt, and include tuition on grappling, submissions, and wrestling techniques. Jiu-Jitsu classes take place several times per week at our Gilbert location. Please click on the link below to learn more.
Teens & Adults TAC Self-Defense Program
Gilbert TAC Self-Defense Lessons for Teenagers & Adults 14 Years & Up
Learn how to defend yourself in real-world situations with Sandoval Freestyle Karate’s TAC Self-Defense system. TAC stands for Tactical Armed Combatives and it is a martial arts system developed by Steve DeArmond. Unlike a sport combat system, TAC is designed to teach simple movements and strikes. TAC is instructed by mixed martial arts black belt, Steve DeArmond and involves Krav Maga techniques. This class is taught at our Gilbert location only.
