I highly recommend SFK to anyone who is serious about learning martial arts. I have two daughters that have been taking classes for the last 6 years. Prior to doing martial arts they were very shy, now they have no problem performing in front of crowds. This has really helped develop their self esteem.

Master Allen Sandoval has a winning perspective on alternative training methods that always has me seeing results in my work outs. Watching the classes and talking to the parents fills me with pride to be able to know Martial Artists as caring and knowledgeable as Allen and Kristi Sandoval & their team of Instructors.

My 14 year old daughter has been coming here for 8 years and is now a first degree black belt. Learning karate has helped her to change from a shy little girl to a strong confident young lady who doesn’t take any nonsense from anyone. This is due to the quality of instruction that you get from Sandoval.

Lead Instructor Steve DeArmond (Gilbert, Arizona Location)

Steve DeArmond has been a lifelong student of martial arts with more than 15 years of training thus far. After earning a Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts including Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kung Fu, he turned his attention on more realistic combative systems, such as Krav Maga. Shortly after beginning his Krav Maga training, he discovered Martial Blade Concepts and sought to learn all he could about it. Steve is now an Affiliate Instructor in the Martial Blade Concepts system.

Steve is currently a Martial Arts Instructor at Sandoval Freestyle Karate. He is still continuing his training in numerous disciplines, and has no interest in becoming a “master” because he continually seeks to be a student. There are always new things to learn and improvements that can be made. In self-defense, nothing is ever foolproof, but one can always seek to make it so.
